The board of directors of UFCW Community Federal Credit Union adopts and enforces this policy with respect to expulsion from membership based on non-participation by a member in the affairs of the Credit Union.
Guidelines:
EXPULSION BASED ON NON-PARTICIPATION. The board considers a member’s failure to vote in annual Credit Union elections or failure to purchase shares from, obtain a loan from, or lend to the Credit Union to determine non-participation. Non-participation can be cause for expulsion. Written notice of this policy as adopted and the effective date of this policy will be mailed to each member of the Credit Union at the member’s current address appearing on the records of UFCW Community Federal Credit Union not less than thirty days prior to the effective date of the policy. In addition, each new member shall be provided written notice of this policy prior to or upon applying for membership.
LIABILITY. Withdrawal or expulsion of a member does not relieve the person from liability to UFCW Community Federal Credit Union for any and all amounts for which the person is liable.
